§ 86-96. Consideration by the city commission.
The city commission shall consider the application for ad valorem tax exemption and supporting documents at a public meeting. In order to grant an exemption, the city commission shall adopt a resolution making findings that:
(1)
The historic property meets the requirements of F.S. § 196.1997 or § 196.1998;
(2)
The improvements to the historic property are consistent with the United States secretary of the interior's standards for rehabilitation; and
(3)
The division of historic resources has determined that the improvements meet F.A.C. ch. 1A-38.
The city commission shall cause a copy of the adopted resolution and the completed exemption application to be filed with the county property appraiser.
