§ 22-34. Code enforcement/license board.

  • (a)

    Intent. The intent of this article is to promote, protect and improve the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the city by providing an equitable, expeditious and effective method of enforcing this article through the establishment of a code enforcement/license board pursuant to F.S. § 162.01 et seq., F.S. §§ 162.21, 162.22 and F.S. §§ 901.15 and 901.28.

    (b)

    Responsibilities. The code enforcement/license board is charged with the responsibility of hearing complaints, determining violations, assessing fines and providing administrative remedies for violations of this article.

    (c)

    Procedures. Procedures used to hear complaints, impose fines, provide administrative remedies and process appeals shall be the same as those specified in the code enforcement/license board.
